And ^(A)after the vows to make inquiry.

International Standard Version

²⁵It is a trap for a person to declare quickly, “This is sacred,”
and only later to have second thoughts about the vows.

⁸Do not go out ^(A)hastily to plead your case;
Lest, what will you do in ^[a]the end,
When your neighbor humiliates you?

⁸don’t be in a hurry to argue in court.
Otherwise, what will you do later on
when your neighbor humiliates you?

²⁰Do you behold a man who is ^(A)hasty in his words?
There is ^(B)more hope for a fool than for him.

²⁰Do you see a man who speaks hastily?
There is more hope for a fool than for him.
