¹⁰My child, if sinners entice you,
turn your back on them!

³¹If the righteous will be repaid on earth,
how much more the wicked and sinful.^(A)

³¹If the righteous are rewarded here on earth,
what will happen to wicked sinners?^[a]

11:31 Greek version reads If the righteous are barely saved, / what will happen to godless sinners? Compare 1 Pet 4:18.

¹⁷Don’t let your heart envy sinners;^(A)
instead, always fear the Lord.^(B)
¹⁸For then you will have a future,
and your hope will never fade.^(C)

¹⁷Don’t envy sinners,
but always continue to fear the Lord.

your hope will not be disappointed.
