¹¹The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,
And as a high wall in his own imagination.

¹⁶A person’s ^(A)gift makes room for him
And brings him before great people.

¹⁶A man’s gift maketh room for him,
And bringeth him before great men.

²³A ^(A)poor person utters pleadings,
But a ^(B)rich person ^(C)answers defiantly.

²³The poor useth entreaties;
