    the righteous man runs into it and ^(C)is safe.

^(C)my shield, and ^(D)the horn of my salvation,
    ^(E)my stronghold and ^(F)my refuge,
    my savior; you save me from violence.

² I will say^[a] to the Lord, “My ^(A)refuge and my ^(B)fortress,
    my God, in whom I ^(C)trust.”

⁴ Trust in the Lord forever,
    for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.

² he is my ^(A)steadfast love and my ^(B)fortress,
    my ^(C)stronghold and my deliverer,
my ^(D)shield and he in whom I take refuge,
    who ^(E)subdues peoples^[a] under me.

³ for you have been ^(A)my refuge,
    a strong ^(B)tower against the enemy.

27 The Lord is my ^(A)light and my ^(B)salvation;
    ^(C)whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold^[a] of my life;
    of whom shall I be afraid?

² The Lord is my ^(A)rock and my ^(B)fortress and my deliverer,
