^(A)Flaming arrows, arrows, and death,
¹⁹ So is a person who ^(B)deceives his neighbor,
And says, “^(C)Was I not joking?”

²⁸ A lying tongue hates ^[a]those it crushes,
And a ^(A)flattering mouth works ruin.
