27 Whoever has knowledge, spares his words. And a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.
28 Even a fool, when he holds his peace, is counted wise; and he who stops his lips, prudent.

27 (A)He who has knowledge spares his words,
And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.
28 (B)Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace;
When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.

27 Whoever (A)restrains his words has knowledge,
and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding.
28 Even a fool (B)who keeps silent is considered wise;
when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.
