¹⁶Better is little with the fear of Yahweh
than great treasure and trouble with it.^[a]

¹⁶Better a little with fear of the Lord
than a great treasure with turmoil.

²⁷He who makes trouble for his house is he who is greedy for unjust gain,
but he who hates bribes will live.

²⁷Those who acquire things unjustly gain trouble for their house,
but those who hate bribes will live.
