a broken heart crushes the spirit.

¹³^(A)A glad heart makes a cheerful face,
but by ^(B)sorrow of heart the spirit is ^(C)crushed.

¹⁵For the despondent, every day brings trouble;
for the happy heart, life is a continual feast.

¹⁵All the days of the afflicted are evil,
but ^(A)the cheerful of heart has a continual feast.

³⁰A cheerful look brings joy to the heart;
good news makes for good health.

³⁰^(A)The light of the eyes rejoices the heart,
