²Den vises tal ger mycken kunskap,
men dåren pladdrar dumheter.

³Herren genomskådar allt
och håller sitt öga på både de onda och de goda.

⁴Helande ord är ett livets träd,
men svekfulla ord krossar modet.

²The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge,^(A)
but the mouth of the fool gushes folly.^(B)

³The eyes^(C) of the Lord are everywhere,^(D)
keeping watch on the wicked and the good.^(E)
