10 See, the Lord God comes with strength,
and his power establishes his rule.(A)
His wages are with him,(B)
and his reward accompanies him.
11 He protects his flock like a shepherd;(C)
he gathers the lambs in his arms
and carries them in the fold of his garment.
He gently leads those that are nursing.

12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand
or marked off the heavens with the span of his hand?(D)
Who has gathered the dust of the earth in a measure
or weighed the mountains on a balance
and the hills on the scales?
13 Who has directed[a] the Spirit of the Lord,
or who gave him counsel?(E)
14 Who did he consult?
Who gave him understanding(F)
and taught him the paths of justice?
Who taught him knowledge
and showed him the way of understanding?

The Servant of the Lord

15 Jesus was aware of this and withdrew. Large crowds[a] followed him, and he healed them all.(E) 16 He warned them not to make him known,(F) 17 so that what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled:

18 Here is my servant whom I have chosen,
my beloved in whom I delight;
I will put my Spirit on him,
and he will proclaim justice to the nations.(G)
19 He will not argue or shout,
and no one will hear his voice in the streets.
20 He will not break a bruised reed,
and he will not put out a smoldering wick,
until he has led justice to victory.[b]
21 The nations will put their hope in his name.[c](H)
