³⁵The king’s favor is toward a ^(A)servant who acts wisely,
But his anger is toward him who acts shamefully.

Proverbs 14:35

International Standard Version

³⁵The king approves the wise servant,
but he is angry at anyone who acts shamefully.

²A servant who acts wisely will rule over a son who acts shamefully,
And will share in the inheritance among brothers.

²A prudent servant will rule in place of a disgraceful son
and will share in the inheritance among brothers.
