7 One person pretends to be rich but has nothing;(A)
another pretends to be poor but has abundant wealth.(B)
8 Riches are a ransom for a person’s life,(C)
but a poor person hears no threat.

7 One person pretends to be wealthy, but has nothing;
another pretends to be poor, yet is rich.
8 The life of a wealthy man may be held for ransom,
but whoever is poor receives no threats.
