    Those who love their children care enough to discipline them.

14 A wise woman builds her home,
    but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands.

⁶ Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged;
    parents^[a] are the pride of their children.

¹⁸ Discipline your children while there is hope.
    Otherwise you will ruin their lives.

⁷ The godly walk with integrity;
    blessed are their children who follow them.
