^23 (A)Abundant food is in the fallow ground of the poor,
But ^[a]it is swept away by injustice.

³¹ He ^(A)who oppresses the poor reproaches ^(B)his Maker,
But he who is gracious to the needy honors Him.

¹⁵ All the days of the afflicted are evil,
But a good heart has a continual feast.

⁸ Better is a little with righteousness
Than great produce with injustice.

^22 (A)Do not rob the poor because he is poor,
And do not ^(B)crush the afflicted at the gate;
²³ For Yahweh will ^(C)plead their case
And rob the soul of those who rob them.

⁷ The ^(A)righteous knows the cause of the poor,
The wicked does not understand that knowledge.

³ A ^(A)poor man who oppresses the lowly
Is a driving rain ^[a]which leaves no food.

¹³ The ^(A)poor man and the oppressor meet together in this—
Yahweh gives ^(B)light to the eyes of both.
