Proverbs 12:9-22
New King James Version
9 (A)Better is the one who is [a]slighted but has a servant,
Than he who honors himself but lacks bread.
10 (B)A righteous man regards the life of his animal,
But the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
11 (C)He who [b]tills his land will be satisfied with (D)bread,
But he who follows [c]frivolity (E)is devoid of [d]understanding.
12 The wicked covet the catch of evil men,
But the root of the righteous yields fruit.
13 (F)The wicked is ensnared by the transgression of his lips,
(G)But the righteous will come through trouble.
14 (H)A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth,
(I)And the recompense of a man’s hands will be rendered to him.
15 (J)The way of a fool is right in his own eyes,
But he who heeds counsel is wise.
16 (K)A fool’s wrath is known at once,
But a prudent man covers shame.
17 (L)He who speaks truth declares righteousness,
But a false witness, deceit.
18 (M)There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword,
But the tongue of the wise promotes health.
19 The truthful lip shall be established forever,
(N)But a lying tongue is but for a moment.
20 Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
But counselors of peace have joy.
21 (O)No grave [e]trouble will overtake the righteous,
But the wicked shall be filled with evil.
22 (P)Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
But those who deal truthfully are His delight.

Ten Lepers Cleansed
11 Now it happened (A)as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12 Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, (B)who stood afar off. 13 And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
14 So when He saw them, He said to them, (C)“Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice (D)glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a (E)Samaritan.
17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 (F)And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

Do Not Judge(A)
7 “Judge[a] (B)not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what [b]judgment you judge, you will be judged; (C)and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 (D)And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
6 (E)“Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.
Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking(F)
7 (G)“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For (H)everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 (I)Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, (J)being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! 12 Therefore, (K)whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for (L)this is the Law and the Prophets.
The Narrow Way(M)
13 (N)“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 [c]Because narrow is the gate and [d]difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
