but through knowledge the righteous are rescued.

International Standard Version

⁹By what he says, the godless person can destroy his neighbor,
but through knowledge the righteous escape.

¹³A gossip goes around revealing a secret,
but a trustworthy person keeps a confidence.^(A)

¹³Whoever spreads gossip betrays secrets,
