New International Version
3 The integrity of the upright guides them,
but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.(E)
5 The righteousness of the blameless makes their paths straight,(I)
but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.(J)
6 The righteousness of the upright delivers them,
but the unfaithful are trapped by evil desires.(K)
8 The righteous person is rescued from trouble,
and it falls on the wicked instead.(N)
9 With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors,
but through knowledge the righteous escape.(O)
10 When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices;(P)
when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.(Q)
11 Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted,(R)
but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.(S)
12 Whoever derides their neighbor has no sense,(T)
but the one who has understanding holds their tongue.(U)
15 Whoever puts up security(Z) for a stranger will surely suffer,
but whoever refuses to shake hands in pledge is safe.(AA)
16 A kindhearted woman gains honor,(AB)
but ruthless men gain only wealth.
17 Those who are kind benefit themselves,
but the cruel bring ruin on themselves.
18 A wicked person earns deceptive wages,
but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.(AC)
20 The Lord detests those whose hearts are perverse,(AF)
but he delights(AG) in those whose ways are blameless.(AH)
21 Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished,
but those who are righteous will go free.(AI)
22 Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout
is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion.
23 The desire of the righteous ends only in good,
but the hope of the wicked only in wrath.
24 One person gives freely, yet gains even more;
another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.
26 People curse the one who hoards grain,
but they pray God’s blessing on the one who is willing to sell.
27 Whoever seeks good finds favor,
but evil comes to one who searches for it.(AL)
28 Those who trust in their riches will fall,(AM)
but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.(AN)
29 Whoever brings ruin on their family will inherit only wind,
and the fool will be servant to the wise.(AO)
30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,(AP)
and the one who is wise saves lives.
31 If the righteous receive their due(AQ) on earth,
how much more the ungodly and the sinner!

11 El SEÑOR detesta las balanzas falsas,
pero aprueba las balanzas exactas.
2 Después del orgullo viene la humillación,
pero la inteligencia está con los humildes.
3 A los justos los guía su honestidad;
a los perversos los destruyen sus propios engaños.
4 El día del juicio las riquezas no servirán de nada,
pero la justicia salva de la muerte.
5 La justicia endereza el camino de la gente honesta,
pero la maldad hace caer a los perversos.
6 El practicar la justicia salva al que es honesto;
los que engañan quedan atrapados en su codicia.
7 El perverso muere;
y con él mueren todas sus esperanzas e ilusiones.
8 El que practica la justicia escapará de las calamidades,
pero el malo será quien las reciba.
9 La boca del perverso hace daño a los demás,
pero el justo se salva por su inteligencia.
10 Cuando le va bien al justo, la ciudad se alegra;
cuando muere el perverso, la ciudad grita de alegría.
11 La bendición de la gente honesta engrandece una ciudad,
pero la boca de los malos la destruye.
12 El torpe habla mal de sus semejantes;
el inteligente sabe cuándo callar.
13 El chismoso revela secretos;
el que es digno de confianza guarda el secreto.
14 Un mal gobierno destruye la nación,
pero la salva un buen número de consejeros.
15 Si te haces fiador de las deudas de otro, lo vas a lamentar;
si te niegas a ser fiador de los demás, vivirás tranquilo.
16 Una mujer honesta se gana el respeto;
los violentos sólo ganan dinero.
17 El que tiene compasión prospera;
el cruel se mete en problemas.
18 El estafador engaña a la gente,
pero a la larga perderá sus ganancias.
El que obra honestamente,
asegura sus ganancias.
19 Mantenerse haciendo el bien lleva a la vida,
ir tras la maldad lleva a la muerte.
20 El SEÑOR detesta a los de mente corrompida,
pero se complace con los que viven honestamente.
21 Tarde o temprano el perverso recibirá su castigo,
pero los justos serán liberados del castigo.
22 Anillo de oro en hocico de un cerdo
es la mujer bella de poco cerebro.
23 Lo que quieren los justos trae bienestar;
el capricho de los perversos produce enojo.
24 Hay quienes dan con generosidad y reciben más de lo que dan;
pero hay quienes son tacaños y terminan en la pobreza.
25 El generoso prosperará;
el que ayuda será ayudado.
26 Al que acapara alimentos, la gente lo maldice;
al que los vende, la gente lo bendice.
27 El que hace el bien se gana el respeto de los demás,
pero el que hace el mal sólo gana problemas.
28 El que confía en las riquezas se marchitará,
pero el que practica la justicia reverdecerá como el follaje.
29 El que perjudica a su propia familia, se arruinará;
el insensato terminará sirviendo al inteligente.
30 Practicar la justicia es árbol de vida;
el sabio da vida nueva a la gente.[a]
31 Si el justo recibe su recompensa aquí en la tierra,
con mucha más razón el perverso y el pecador.
