⁸ The righteous is rescued from trouble,
But the wicked ^[a]takes his place.

But ^(B)the righteous will flourish like the green leaf.

⁸ “^(A)Drip down, heavens, from above,
And let the clouds pour down righteousness;
Let the ^(B)earth open up and salvation bear fruit,
^(C)And righteousness sprout with it.
I, the Lord, have created it.
