Proverbs 10:31-11:8

New American Standard Bible

³¹ The ^(A)mouth of the righteous flows with wisdom,
But the ^(B)perverted tongue will be cut out.
³² The lips of the righteous know ^(C)what is acceptable,
But the ^(D)mouth of the wicked, what is perverted.

11 A ^(E)false balance is an abomination to the Lord,
But a ^(F)just weight is His delight.
² When ^(G)pride comes, then comes dishonor;
But with the humble there is wisdom.
³ The ^(H)integrity of the upright will guide them,
But the ^(I)perversity of the treacherous will destroy them.
^4 (J)Riches do not benefit on the day of wrath,
But ^(K)righteousness rescues from death.
⁵ The ^(L)righteousness of the blameless will smooth his way,
But ^(M)the wicked will fall by his own wickedness.
⁶ The righteousness of the upright will rescue them,
But the treacherous will ^(N)be caught by their own greed.
⁷ When a wicked person dies, his ^(O)expectation will perish,
And the ^(P)hope of strong people perishes.
⁸ The righteous is rescued from trouble,
But the wicked ^[a]takes his place.
