²⁸The hope of good men is eternal happiness; the hopes of evil men are all in vain.

²⁹God protects the upright but destroys the wicked.

³⁰The good shall never lose God’s blessings, but the wicked shall lose everything.

²⁸义人的憧憬带来欢乐，
    恶人的希望终必破灭。
²⁹耶和华的道保护正直人，
    毁灭作恶之人。
³⁰义人永不动摇，
    恶人无处容身。

²⁸The prospect of the righteous is joy,
but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.^(A)

²⁹The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless,
but it is the ruin of those who do evil.^(B)

³⁰The righteous will never be uprooted,
but the wicked will not remain in the land.^(C)
