    but the prudent give thought to their steps.

¹⁴ An understanding heart seeks knowledge;
    but fools feed on folly.

²¹ Folly is joy to those who lack sense,
    but those with understanding walk straight ahead.

¹⁶ Acquiring wisdom is much better than gold,
    and acquiring understanding is better than silver.
