⁵ Let the wise man hear and ^(A)increase in learning,
And a ^(B)man of understanding will acquire guidance,

That you may be wise in ^[a]the end of your days.
²¹ Many ^[b](B)thoughts are in a man’s heart,
But it is the ^(C)counsel of Yahweh that will stand.

^18 [a](A)Thoughts are established by counsel,
So ^(B)make war by guidance.

⁵ Take away the ^(A)wicked before the king,
And his ^(B)throne will be established in righteousness.

^9 (A)Oil and incense make the heart glad,
So counsel from the ^[a]soul is sweet to his friend.
