¹⁷How useless to spread a net
where every bird can see it!

¹⁷Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.

³牛認識主人，

驢認識主人的槽；

以色列卻不認識我，

我的子民不明白我。”

³The ox knows^(A) its master,
the donkey its owner’s manger,^(B)
but Israel does not know,^(C)
my people do not understand.^(D)”
