O (A)simple ones, learn (B)prudence;
    O (C)fools, learn sense.
Hear, for I will speak (D)noble things,
    and from my lips will come (E)what is right,
for my (F)mouth will utter truth;
    wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
All the words of my mouth are righteous;
    there is nothing (G)twisted or crooked in them.
They are all (H)straight to him who understands,
    and right to those who find knowledge.
10 (I)Take my instruction instead of silver,
    and knowledge rather than choice gold,
11 (J)for wisdom is better than jewels,
    and (K)all that you may desire cannot compare with her.

12 “I, wisdom, dwell with prudence,
    and I find knowledge and (L)discretion.
13 (M)The fear of the Lord is (N)hatred of evil.
(O)Pride and arrogance and the way of evil
    and (P)perverted speech I hate.
14 I have (Q)counsel and (R)sound wisdom;
    I have insight; (S)I have strength.

    and rulers decree what is just;
