New International Version

¹⁵By me kings reign
and rulers^(A) issue decrees that are just;

¹¹^(A)Be wise, my son, and make my heart glad,
That I may ^(B)reply to him who reproaches me.

¹¹Be wise, my son, and bring joy to my heart;^(A)
then I can answer anyone who treats me with contempt.^(B)
