^30 [a]Men do not despise a thief if he steals
To ^(A)satisfy ^[b]himself when he is hungry;
³¹ But when he is found, he must ^(B)repay sevenfold;
He must give all the ^[c]substance of his house.

^22 (A)Do not rob the poor because he is poor,
Or ^(B)crush the afflicted at the gate;

⁷ Two things I asked of You,
Do not refuse me before I die:
⁸ Keep deception and ^[a]lies far from me,
Give me neither poverty nor riches;
Feed me with the ^(A)food that is my portion,
⁹ That I not be ^(B)full and deny ^(C)You and say, “Who is the Lord?”
Or that I not be ^(D)in want and steal,
And ^(E)profane the name of my God.
