³³ The curse of Yahweh is on the house of the wicked,
    and the abode of the righteous ones he blesses.
³⁴ With those who scorn, he is scornful,
    but to those who are humble, he gives favor.

²³ With all vigilance, keep your heart,
    for from it comes the source^[a] of life.
²⁴ Remove from yourself deceitful speech,^[b]
    and abolish devious talk^[c] from yourself.
²⁵ May your eyes look forward^[d]
    and your gaze be straight before you.
²⁶ May the path of your foot be balanced
    and all your ways be sure.
²⁷ Do not swerve right or left;
    remove your foot from evil.

³⁵ For he who finds me is he who finds^[a] life,
    and he obtains favor from Yahweh.

⁶ Blessings belong to the head of the righteous,
    but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.

¹⁷ A person of kindness rewards himself,^[a]
    but a cruel person harms his own flesh.

³¹ If the righteous on earth will be repaid,
    how much more^[a] the wicked and sinner.

² The good obtains favor from Yahweh,
    but anyone who schemes, he condemns.

¹² The wicked covets the proceeds of evil,
    but the root of the righteous bears fruit.^[a]

²¹ Misfortune will pursue sinners,
    but the righteous will be rewarded with prosperity.^[a]

¹⁴ From his ways, the perverse of heart will be satisfied,
    and from his own,^[a] so shall a good man.
