Proverbs 29:15-16

¹⁵ The ^(A)rod and a rebuke give wisdom,
But a child ^[a]who gets his own way ^(B)brings shame to his mother.
¹⁶ When the wicked ^[b]increase, wrongdoing increases;
But the ^(C)righteous will see their downfall.
