Proverbs 29:9-11

New King James Version

⁹If a wise man contends with a foolish man,
^(A)Whether the fool rages or laughs, there is no peace.

¹⁰^(B)The bloodthirsty hate the blameless,
But the upright seek his ^[a]well-being.

¹¹A fool vents all his ^(C)feelings,^[b]
But a wise man holds them back.
