⁸Mockers stir up a city,
but the wise turn away anger.^(A)

⁸Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.

¹¹Fools give full vent to their rage,^(A)
but the wise bring calm in the end.^(B)

¹¹A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

²⁶Many seek an audience with a ruler,^(A)
but it is from the Lord that one gets justice.^(B)
