Proverbs 29:22-24

English Standard Version

²²^(A)A man of wrath stirs up strife,
    and one given to anger causes much transgression.
²³^(B)One's pride will bring him low,
    ^(C)but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.
²⁴The partner of a thief ^(D)hates his own life;
    ^(E)he hears the curse, but discloses nothing.
