¹⁰The bloodthirsty hate a person of integrity
and seek to kill the upright.^(A)

Proverbs 29:10

New Living Translation

¹⁰The bloodthirsty hate blameless people,
but the upright seek to help them.^[a]

29:10 Or The bloodthirsty hate blameless people, / and they seek to kill the upright; Hebrew reads The bloodthirsty hate blameless people; / as for the upright, they seek their life.

¹⁰The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.

²⁷The righteous detest the dishonest;
the wicked detest the upright.^(A)

²⁷The righteous despise the unjust;
the wicked despise the godly.

²⁷An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.
