    but he who follows worthless pursuits will have plenty of poverty.
²⁰ A faithful man will abound with blessings,
    but whoever hastens to be rich ^(B)will not go unpunished.

    and does not know that ^(C)poverty will come upon him.

²⁵ A greedy man ^(A)stirs up strife,
    but the one who trusts in the Lord will ^(B)be enriched.

⁸ Remove far from me falsehood and lying;
    give me neither poverty nor riches;
    feed me with the food that is ^(A)needful for me,
⁹ lest I be ^(B)full and ^(C)deny you
    and say, ^(D)“Who is the Lord?”
or lest I be poor and steal
    ^(E)and profane the name of my God.
