New International Version

¹¹The rich are wise in their own eyes;
one who is poor and discerning sees how deluded they are.

¹³He who covers his sins will not prosper,
but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

¹³Whoever conceals their sins^(A) does not prosper,
but the one who confesses^(B) and renounces them finds mercy.^(C)

²⁵He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife,
but he who puts his trust in the Lord will prosper.

²⁵The greedy stir up conflict,^(A)
but those who trust in the Lord^(B) will prosper.
