¹¹A man of wealth is wise in his own eyes,
but the intelligent poor sees through him.

Proverbs 28:11

New International Version

¹¹The rich are wise in their own eyes;
one who is poor and discerning sees how deluded they are.

¹³He who conceals his transgression will not prosper,
but he who confesses and forsakes will obtain mercy.

¹³Whoever conceals their sins^(A) does not prosper,
but the one who confesses^(B) and renounces them finds mercy.^(C)

²⁵The greedy person^[a] will stir up strife,
but he who trusts in Yahweh will be enriched.

²⁵The greedy stir up conflict,^(A)
but those who trust in the Lord^(B) will prosper.
