¹¹Rich people think they are wise,
but an insightful poor person sees through them.

Proverbs 28:11

New International Version

¹¹The rich are wise in their own eyes;
one who is poor and discerning sees how deluded they are.

¹³Those who hide their sins won’t succeed,
but those who confess and give them up will receive mercy.

¹³Whoever conceals their sins^(A) does not prosper,
but the one who confesses^(B) and renounces them finds mercy.^(C)

²⁵Greedy people stir up conflict,
but those who trust the Lord become prosperous.
