Proverbs 22:5-7
The Message
5 The perverse travel a dangerous road, potholed and mud-slick;
if you know what’s good for you, stay clear of it.
6 Point your kids in the right direction—
when they’re old they won’t be lost.
7 The poor are always ruled over by the rich,
so don’t borrow and put yourself under their power.
Proverbs 22:5-7
New International Version
5 In the paths of the wicked are snares and pitfalls,(A)
but those who would preserve their life stay far from them.
6 Start(B) children off on the way they should go,(C)
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.(D)
7 The rich rule over the poor,
and the borrower is slave to the lender.
