^8 [a]That he may guard the paths of justice,
^[b]And preserve the way of his saints.
⁹ Then shalt thou understand righteousness and justice,
And equity, yea, every good path.

²⁰ I walk in the way of righteousness,
In the midst of the paths of justice;

⁵ The thoughts of the righteous are just;
But the counsels of the wicked are deceit.

²³ Much food is in the ^[a]tillage of the poor;
But there is that is destroyed by reason of injustice.

^10 [a]A divine sentence is in the lips of the king;
His mouth shall not transgress in judgment.
¹¹ A just balance and scales are Jehovah’s;
All the weights of the bag are his work.
¹² It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness;
For the throne is established by righteousness.

¹⁵ He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the righteous,
Both of them alike are an abomination to Jehovah.

²³ A wicked man receiveth a bribe out of the bosom,
To pervert the ways of justice.

²⁶ Also to ^[a]punish the righteous is not good,
Nor to smite the noble for their uprightness.

⁵ To respect the person of the wicked is not good,
^[a]Nor to turn aside the righteous in judgment.

²⁸ A worthless witness mocketh at justice;
And the mouth of the wicked swalloweth iniquity.
