^27 (A)Do not withhold good from ^[a]those to whom it is due,
When it is in your hand to do it.

³ The ^(A)integrity of the upright will lead them,
But the ^(B)crookedness of the treacherous will destroy them.

⁶ The righteousness of the upright will deliver them,
But the treacherous will ^(A)be captured by their own desire.

¹⁷ The man of ^(A)lovingkindness deals bountifully with his soul,
But the cruel man brings trouble on his flesh.

²⁷ He who earnestly seeks good seeks favor,
But ^(A)he who searches for evil, evil will come to him.

³⁰ The fruit of the righteous is ^(A)a tree of life,
And ^(B)he who is wise ^[a]wins souls.

² A ^(A)good man will obtain favor from Yahweh,
But a man of evil schemes He will condemn.

²² A good man ^(A)leaves an inheritance to his ^[a]children’s children,
And the ^(B)wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.

¹⁴ The one who turns back in his heart will be satisfied with his ^(A)ways,
But a good man will ^(B)be satisfied ^[a]with his.
