²⁵^(A)What you think is the right road may lead to death.

²⁶A laborer's appetite makes him work harder, because he wants to satisfy his hunger.

²⁷Evil people look for ways to harm others; even their words burn with evil.

Proverbs 16:25-27

New International Version

²⁵There is a way that appears to be right,^(A)
but in the end it leads to death.^(B)

²⁶The appetite of laborers works for them;
their hunger drives them on.

²⁷A scoundrel^(C) plots evil,
and on their lips it is like a scorching fire.^(D)
