⁵A righteous man ^(A)hates a lying word,
But a wicked man ^[a]^(B)acts odiously and is humiliated.

Proverbs 13:5

New International Version

⁵The righteous hate what is false,^(A)
but the wicked make themselves a stench
and bring shame on themselves.

²³^(A)Abundant food is in the fallow ground of the poor,
But ^[a]it is swept away by injustice.

²³An unplowed field produces food for the poor,
but injustice sweeps it away.
