¹² So it will be that when the Lord has completed all His ^(A)work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, He will say, “I will ^[a]punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and ^(B)the pomp of his eyes which are raised high.”

¹³ Then you shall say to them, ‘Thus says Yahweh, “Behold, I am about to fill all the inhabitants of this land—the kings that sit for David on his throne, the priests, the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem—with ^(A)drunkenness!

¹⁷ For it is time for judgment ^(A)to begin ^[a]with ^(B)the house of God; and if it ^(C)begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those ^(D)who do not obey the ^(E)gospel of God?
