¹⁰Whoever winks maliciously^(A) causes grief,
and a chattering fool comes to ruin.

¹⁰One winking with the eye causes sorrow,
but a chattering fool will fall.

¹⁰He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.

²³A fool finds pleasure in wicked schemes,^(A)
but a person of understanding delights in wisdom.

²³It is a fool’s pleasure to do wickedness,
but wisdom is a man of understanding’s pleasure.

²³It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
