Proverbios 7
Nueva Versión Internacional
Advertencia contra la mujer adúltera
7 Hijo mío, guarda mis palabras
y atesora mis mandamientos.
2 Cumple con mis mandamientos, y vivirás;
3 Llévalos atados en los dedos;
11 Ella es escandalosa y descarada;
pues hoy he cumplido mis promesas.
15 Por eso he venido a tu encuentro;
te buscaba, ¡y ya te he encontrado!
16 Sobre la cama he tendido
linos egipcios multicolores.
17 He perfumado mi lecho
con aroma de mirra, áloe y canela.
18 Ven, bebamos hasta el fondo la copa del amor;
21 Con palabras persuasivas lo convenció;
con halagos de sus labios lo sedujo.
22 Y él enseguida fue tras ella,
como el buey que va camino al matadero;
23 hasta que una flecha le abre las entrañas;
24 Así que, hijo mío, escúchame;
presta[d] atención a mis palabras.
25 No desvíes tu corazón hacia sus sendas
ni te extravíes por sus caminos,
26 pues muchos han muerto por su causa;
sus víctimas han sido innumerables.
27 Su casa lleva derecho al sepulcro;[e]
conduce a las habitaciones de la muerte.

Proverbios 7
Dios Habla Hoy
Artimañas de la mujer adúltera
7 Obedece mis palabras, hijo mío;
guarda en tu mente mis mandamientos.
2 Obedece mis mandamientos y enseñanzas;
3 Átalos a tus dedos,
y comenzaba a oscurecer.
y hoy he cumplido mi promesa.
15 Por eso he salido a tu encuentro;
¡tenía ganas de verte, y te he encontrado!
16 Sobre mi cama he tendido
una hermosa colcha de lino egipcio,
17 la he perfumado con aroma
de mirra, áloe y canela.
18 Ven, vaciemos hasta el fondo la copa del amor;
gocemos del amor hasta que amanezca,
19 pues mi esposo no está en casa:
ha salido para un largo viaje;
23 y al que luego una flecha le parte el corazón;
24 Así pues, hijo mío, escúchame;
presta atención a mis palabras.
25 No desvíes hacia esa mujer tus pensamientos;
no te pierdas por ir tras ella,
26 porque a muchos los ha herido de muerte;
¡sus víctimas son numerosas!
27 Tomar el camino de su casa
es tomar el camino de la muerte.

guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.
3 Bind them on your fingers;
write them on the tablet of your heart.(C)
4 Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,”
and to insight, “You are my relative.”
5 They will keep you from the adulterous woman,

7 I saw among the simple,
I noticed among the young men,
a youth who had no sense.(E)
8 He was going down the street near her corner,
walking along in the direction of her house
9 at twilight,(F) as the day was fading,
as the dark of night set in.
10 Then out came a woman to meet him,
dressed like a prostitute and with crafty intent.
11 (She is unruly(G) and defiant,
her feet never stay at home;
12 now in the street, now in the squares,
at every corner she lurks.)(H)
13 She took hold of him(I) and kissed him
and with a brazen face she said:(J)
14 “Today I fulfilled my vows,
and I have food from my fellowship offering(K) at home.
15 So I came out to meet you;
I looked for you and have found you!

let’s enjoy ourselves with love!(N)
19 My husband is not at home;
he has gone on a long journey.
20 He took his purse filled with money
and will not be home till full moon.”
21 With persuasive words she led him astray;
she seduced him with her smooth talk.(O)
22 All at once he followed her
like an ox going to the slaughter,
like a deer[a] stepping into a noose[b](P)

like a bird darting into a snare,
little knowing it will cost him his life.(R)

Proverbs 7
Complete Jewish Bible
7 My son, keep my words,
store up my commands with you.
2 Obey my commands, and live;
guard my teaching like the pupil of your eye.
3 Bind them on your fingers;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Say to wisdom, “You are my sister”;
call understanding your kinswoman;
5 so that they can keep you from unknown women,
from loose women with their seductive talk.
6 For I was at the window of my house,
glancing out through the lattice,
7 when I saw among the young men there,
among those who don’t think for themselves,
a young fellow devoid of all sense.
8 He crosses the street near her corner
and continues on toward her house.
9 Dusk turns into evening,
and finally night, dark and black.
10 Then a woman approaches him,
dressed as a prostitute, wily of heart.
11 She’s the coarse, impulsive type,
whose feet don’t stay at home;
12 rather, she stalks the streets and squares,
lurking at every streetcorner.
13 She grabs him, gives him a kiss,
and, brazen-faced, she says to him,
14 “I had to offer peace sacrifices,
and I fulfilled my vows today.
15 This is why I came out to meet you,
to look for you; now I’ve found you.
16 I’ve spread quilts on my couch
made of colored Egyptian linen.
17 I’ve perfumed my bed
with myrrh, aloes and cinnamon.
18 Come on, let’s make love till morning;
we’ll enjoy making love.
19 My husband isn’t at home,
he’s gone on a long trip;
20 he took a bag of money with him
and won’t be back till the moon is full.”
21 With all her sweet talk she convinces him,
enticing him with her seductive words.
22 At once he follows her
like an ox on its way to be slaughtered;
like a fool to be punished in the stocks;
23 or like a bird rushing into a trap,
not knowing its life is at stake
till an arrow pierces its liver.
24 So now, children, listen to me;
pay attention to what I am saying.
25 Don’t let your heart turn to her ways;
don’t stray onto her paths.
26 For many are those she has struck down dead,
numerous those she has killed.
27 Her house is the way to Sh’ol;
it leads down to the halls of death.
Proverbs 7
Amplified Bible
The Wiles of the Prostitute
7 My son, keep my words
And treasure my commandments within you [so they are readily available to guide you].
2
Keep my commandments and live,
And keep my teaching and law as the apple of your eye.
3
Bind them [securely] on your fingers;
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
4
Say to [skillful and godly] wisdom, “You are my sister,”
And regard understanding and intelligent insight as your intimate friends;
5
That they may keep you from the immoral woman,
From the foreigner [who does not observe God’s laws and] who flatters with her [smooth] words.
6
For at the window of my house
I looked out through my lattice.
7
And among the naive [the inexperienced and gullible],
I saw among the youths
A young man lacking [good] sense,
8
Passing through the street near her corner;
And he took the path to her house
9
In the twilight, in the evening;
In the black and dark night.
10
And there a woman met him,
Dressed as a prostitute and sly and cunning of heart.
11
She was boisterous and rebellious;
[a]She would not stay at home.
12
At times she was in the streets, at times in the market places,
Lurking and setting her ambush at every corner.
13
So she caught him and kissed him
And with a brazen and impudent face she said to him:
14
“I have peace offerings with me;
Today I have paid my vows.
15
“So I came out to meet you [that you might share with me the feast of my offering],
Diligently I sought your face and I have found you.
16
“I have spread my couch with coverings and cushions of tapestry,
With colored fine linen of Egypt.
17
“I have perfumed my bed
With myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
18
“Come, let us drink our fill of love until morning;
Let us console and delight ourselves with love.
19
“For my husband is not at home.
He has gone on a long journey;
20
He has taken a bag of money with him,
And he will come home on the appointed day.”
21
With her many persuasions she caused him to yield;
With her flattering lips she seduced him.
22
Suddenly he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter [not knowing the outcome],
Or as one in stocks going to the correction [to be given] to a fool,
23
Until an arrow pierced his liver [with a mortal wound];
Like a bird fluttering straight into the net,
He did not know that it would cost him his life.
24
Now therefore, my sons, listen to me,
And pay attention to the words of my mouth.
25
Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways,
Do not stray into her [evil, immoral] paths.
26
For she has cast down many [mortally] wounded;
Indeed, all who were killed by her were strong.(A)
27
Her house is the way to [b]Sheol,
Descending to the chambers of death.(B)
