Dios Habla Hoy
29 El que se pone terco cuando lo reprenden,
pronto será destruido sin remedio.
2 Cuando predominan los justos, la gente se alegra;
cuando los malvados gobiernan, la gente sufre.
3 El hijo sabio hace feliz a su padre;
el que anda con prostitutas derrocha el dinero.
4 El rey que hace justicia, afirma a su país;
el que sólo exige impuestos, lo arruina.
5 El que siempre alaba a su amigo,
en realidad le está tendiendo una trampa.
6 La trampa del malvado son sus propios pecados;
pero el hombre honrado vive alegre y feliz.
7 El justo toma en cuenta los derechos del pobre,
pero al malvado nada le importa.
8 Los alborotadores agitan a una ciudad;
los sabios saben calmar los ánimos.
9 El sabio que entabla pleito contra un necio,
se enoja, recibe burlas y no arregla nada.
10 Los asesinos y desalmados
odian a muerte al hombre honrado.
11 El necio da rienda suelta a sus impulsos,
pero el sabio acaba por refrenarlos.
12 El gobernante que hace caso de mentiras
corrompe a todos sus servidores.
13 El oprimido y el opresor tienen algo en común:
el Señor les ha dado la vista a ambos.
14 El rey que gobierna a los pobres con lealtad,
afirma su trono para siempre.
15 A golpes y reprensiones se aprende,
pero el hijo consentido avergüenza a su madre.
16 Si los malvados abundan, abunda el pecado;
pero los hombres honrados los verán fracasar.
17 Corrige a tu hijo y te hará vivir tranquilo,
y te dará muchas satisfacciones.
18 Donde no hay dirección divina, no hay orden;
¡feliz el pueblo que cumple la ley de Dios!
19 Con palabras no se corrige al esclavo,
porque entiende pero no hace caso.
20 Más se puede esperar de un necio
que de quien habla sin pensar.
21 El que consiente a su esclavo desde pequeño,
al final tendrá que lamentarlo.
22 El que es violento e impulsivo,
provoca peleas y comete muchos errores.
23 Al que es orgulloso se le humilla,
pero al que es humilde se le honra.
24 El cómplice del ladrón es enemigo de sí mismo,
pues aunque oye maldiciones no confiesa.
25 El miedo a los hombres es una trampa,
pero el que confía en el Señor estará protegido.
26 Muchos buscan el favor del gobernante,
pero sólo el Señor hace justicia.
27 Los hombres honrados no soportan a los malvados,
y los malvados no soportan a los honrados.

29 El que es reacio a las reprensiones
será destruido de repente y sin remedio.
2 Cuando los justos prosperan, el pueblo se alegra;
cuando los impíos gobiernan, el pueblo gime.
3 El que ama la sabiduría alegra a su padre;
el que frecuenta rameras pierde su fortuna.
4 Con justicia el rey da estabilidad al país;
cuando lo abruma con tributos, lo destruye.
5 El que adula a su prójimo
le tiende una trampa ante sus pies.
6 Al malvado lo atrapa su propia maldad,
pero el justo puede cantar de alegría.
7 El justo se ocupa de la causa del desvalido;
el malvado ni sabe de qué se trata.
8 Los insolentes agitan la ciudad,
pero los sabios aplacan la ira.
9 Cuando el sabio entabla pleito contra un necio,
aunque se enoje o se ría, no logrará la paz.
10 Los asesinos aborrecen a los íntegros
y tratan de matar a los justos.
11 El necio da rienda suelta a su ira,
pero el sabio sabe dominarla.
12 Cuando un gobernante se deja llevar por mentiras,
todos sus oficiales se corrompen.
13 Algo en común tienen el pobre y el opresor:
a los dos el Señor les ha dado la vista.
14 El rey que juzga al pobre según la verdad
afirma su trono para siempre.
15 La vara de la disciplina imparte sabiduría,
pero el joven malcriado avergüenza a su madre.
16 Cuando aumentan los impíos, también aumenta el pecado,
pero los justos presenciarán su caída.
17 Disciplina a tu hijo, y te traerá tranquilidad;
te dará muchas satisfacciones.
18 Donde no hay visión, el pueblo se extravía;
¡dichosos los que son obedientes a la ley!
19 No solo con palabras se corrige al siervo;
aunque entienda, no obedecerá.
20 ¿Te has fijado en los que hablan sin pensar?
¡Más se puede esperar de un necio que de gente así!
21 El criado consentido desde niño
se convertirá en una persona insolente.
22 El hombre iracundo provoca peleas;
el hombre violento multiplica sus crímenes.
23 El altivo será humillado,
pero el de espíritu humilde será enaltecido.
24 El cómplice del ladrón atenta contra sí mismo;
aunque esté bajo juramento,[a] no testificará.
25 Temer a los hombres resulta una trampa,
pero el que confía en el Señor sale bien librado.
26 Muchos buscan el favor del gobernante,
pero solo el Señor hace justicia.
27 Los justos aborrecen a los malvados
y los malvados aborrecen a los justos.

29 Njeriu që fortëson qafën kur qortohet, do të thyhet papritmas pa tjetër.
2 Kur të drejtët shumohen, populli gëzohet, por, kur sundon i pabesi, populli rënkon.
3 Njeriu që e do diturinë gëzon të atin; por ai që shkon me prostitutat shkapaderdh pasurinë e vet.
4 Mbreti e bën të qëndrueshëm vendin me anë të drejtësisë, por ai që merr dhurata e çon në shkatërrim.
5 Njeriu që i bën lajka të afërmit të tij shtrin një rrjetë mbi hapat e tij.
6 Në mëkatin e një njeriut të keq ka një lak, por i drejti këndon dhe gëzohet.
7 I drejti interesohet për çështjen e të varfërve, por i pabesi nuk e kupton këtë interesim.
8 Tallësit kurdisin trazira në qytet, por njerëzit e urtë e qetësojnë zemërimin.
9 Në rast se një njeri i urtë hyn në grindje me një budalla, dhe budallai zemërohet dhe qesh, nuk ka paqe.
10 Njerëzit gjakatarë urrejnë të ndershmin, por njerëzit e drejtë kërkojnë të mbrojnë jetën e tij.
11 Budallai e shfryn gjithë zemërimin e tij, por i urti e frenon dhe e ul.
12 Në rast se një mbret dëgjon fjalët gënjeshtare, tërë ministrat e tij bëhen të pabesë.
13 I varfëri dhe shtypësi kanë këtë të përbashkët: Zoti ndriçon sytë e të dy palëve.
14 Mbreti që u siguron drejtësi të varfërve në të vërtetë do ta ketë fronin të vendosur për gjithnjë.
15 Shufra dhe qortimi japin dituri; por fëmija për të cilën nuk kujdeset kurrkush e turpëron nënen e vet.
16 Kur shtohen të pabesët shtohen edhe shkeljet, por të drejtët do të shohin shkatërrimin e tyre.
17 Korrigjo birin tënd, ai do të japë rehatinë dhe do t’i sigurojë kënaqësi shpirtit tënd.
18 Kur nuk ka një vizion profetik, populli bëhet i shfrenuar, por lum ai që respekton ligjin.
19 Një shërbëtor nuk ndreqet vetëm me fjalë; edhe kur i kupton, nuk bindet.
20 A ke parë një njeri që ngutet në të folur? Ka më tepër shpresa te një budalla se sa te ai.
21 Në se dikush rrit me përkujdesje qysh në fëmijëri shërbëtorin e vet, në fund ai do të dojë të bëhet trashëgimtar i tij.
22 Njeriu zemërak kurdis grindje dhe njeriu idhnak kryen shumë mëkate.
23 Kryelartësia e njeriut e çon poshtë atë, por ai që ka një shpirt të përvuajtur do të ketë lavdi.
24 Kush bëhet ortak me një vjedhës urren jetën e vet. Ai dëgjon betimin, por nuk padit asgjë.
25 Frika e njeriut përbën një lak, por ai që ka besim te Zoti është i siguruar.
26 Të shumtë janë ata që kërkojnë favorin e princit, por drejtësia për çdo njeri vjen nga Zoti.
27 Njeriu jo i drejtë është një neveri për të drejtët, dhe ai që ecën me ndershmëri është një neveri për të pabesët.

29 He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.
2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
3 Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance.
4 The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it.
5 A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.
6 In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.
7 The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.
8 Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.
9 If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.
10 The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.
11 A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.
12 If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.
13 The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the Lord lighteneth both their eyes.
14 The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever.
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.
17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
19 A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer.
20 Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
21 He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length.
22 An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.
23 A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.
24 Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not.
25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
26 Many seek the ruler's favour; but every man's judgment cometh from the Lord.
27 An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.
