Dios Habla Hoy
27 No presumas del día de mañana,
pues no sabes lo que el mañana traerá.
2 Deja que sean otros los que te alaben;
no está bien que te alabes tú mismo.
3 Las piedras y la arena son pesadas,
pero más pesado es el enojo del necio.
4 La ira es cruel, y el enojo destructivo,
pero los celos son incontrolables.
5 Vale más reprender con franqueza
que amar en secreto.
6 Más se puede confiar en el amigo que hiere
que en el enemigo que besa.
7 El que está lleno, hasta la miel desprecia;
al que tiene hambre, hasta lo amargo le sabe dulce.
8 Como ave que vaga lejos de su nido
es el que anda lejos del lugar donde nació.
9 Para alegrar el corazón, buenos perfumes;
para endulzar el alma, un consejo de amigos.
10 Nunca abandones a tus amigos
ni a los amigos de tu padre.
Nunca vayas con tus problemas
a la casa de tu hermano.
Más vale vecino cercano
que hermano lejano.
11 Sé sabio, hijo mío, y me harás feliz;
así podré responder a los que me ofendan.
12 El prudente ve el peligro y lo evita;
el imprudente sigue adelante y sufre el daño.
13 Al que salga fiador por un extraño,
quítale la ropa y tómasela en prenda.
14 Saludar al amigo a gritos y de madrugada,
es para él lo mismo que insultarlo.
15 Lo mismo es una mujer pendenciera
que una gotera constante en tiempo de lluvia.
16 Querer detenerla es querer detener el viento
o retener el aceite en la mano.
17 El hierro se afila con hierro,
y el hombre con otro hombre.
18 El que cuida de la higuera come los higos;
el que cuida de su amo recibe honores.
19 Así como las caras se reflejan en el agua,
así también los hombres se reflejan en su mente.
20 La muerte, el sepulcro y la codicia del hombre
jamás quedan satisfechos.
21 Al oro y la plata, el fuego los prueba;
al hombre lo prueban las alabanzas.
22 Al necio no se le quita lo necio
ni aunque lo muelas y lo remuelas.
23 Manténte al tanto de tus ovejas,
preocúpate por tus rebaños,
24 pues ni riquezas ni coronas
duran eternamente.
25 Cuando el pasto aparezca, y brote el verdor,
y se recoja la hierba de los montes,
26 de tus corderos tendrás lana para vestirte,
de tus cabritos dinero para comprar terrenos
27 y de tus cabras leche abundante
para alimentarte tú y tu familia
y todos los que estén a tu servicio.

2 Let someone else praise you, and not your own mouth;
an outsider, and not your own lips.(C)
3 Stone is heavy and sand(D) a burden,
but a fool’s provocation is heavier than both.
4 Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming,
but who can stand before jealousy?(E)
5 Better is open rebuke
than hidden love.
6 Wounds from a friend can be trusted,
but an enemy multiplies kisses.(F)
7 One who is full loathes honey from the comb,
but to the hungry even what is bitter tastes sweet.
8 Like a bird that flees its nest(G)
is anyone who flees from home.
9 Perfume(H) and incense bring joy to the heart,
and the pleasantness of a friend
springs from their heartfelt advice.
10 Do not forsake your friend or a friend of your family,
and do not go to your relative’s house when disaster(I) strikes you—
better a neighbor nearby than a relative far away.
11 Be wise, my son, and bring joy to my heart;(J)
then I can answer anyone who treats me with contempt.(K)
12 The prudent see danger and take refuge,
but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.(L)
13 Take the garment of one who puts up security for a stranger;
hold it in pledge if it is done for an outsider.(M)
14 If anyone loudly blesses their neighbor early in the morning,
it will be taken as a curse.
15 A quarrelsome wife is like the dripping(N)
of a leaky roof in a rainstorm;
16 restraining her is like restraining the wind
or grasping oil with the hand.
17 As iron sharpens iron,
so one person sharpens another.
18 The one who guards a fig tree will eat its fruit,(O)
and whoever protects their master will be honored.(P)
19 As water reflects the face,
so one’s life reflects the heart.[a]
21 The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold,(S)
but people are tested by their praise.
22 Though you grind a fool in a mortar,
grinding them like grain with a pestle,
you will not remove their folly from them.
23 Be sure you know the condition of your flocks,(T)
give careful attention to your herds;
24 for riches do not endure forever,(U)
and a crown is not secure for all generations.
25 When the hay is removed and new growth appears
and the grass from the hills is gathered in,
26 the lambs will provide you with clothing,
and the goats with the price of a field.
27 You will have plenty of goats’ milk to feed your family
and to nourish your female servants.

因為你不知明天會怎樣。
2 讓別人誇獎你，不要開口自誇；
讓外人稱讚你，不要自吹自擂。
3 石頭沉，沙土重，
不如愚人惹的麻煩重。
4 暴怒固然殘酷，
憤恨好比狂瀾，
然而嫉妒更是無人能敵。
5 開誠佈公的責備勝過隱藏的愛。
6 朋友加的創傷出自真誠，
仇敵連連親吻卻是多餘。
7 飽足的人連蜂蜜也嫌棄，
饑餓的人吃苦食也甘甜。
8 離鄉背井的人就像離巢的飛鳥。
9 膏油和香料使人暢快，
朋友的勸誡更加甘甜。
10 不可拋棄你的朋友和父親的至交。
患難時別投靠兄弟，
近鄰勝過遠親。
11 孩子啊，你要做智者，
使我的心喜樂，
我好回答譏笑我的人。
12 明哲人遇禍躲避，
愚昧人前去受害。
13 誰為陌生人作保，
就拿誰的衣服；
誰為淫婦作保，
誰就得交抵押。
14 清早高聲為鄰舍祝福，
無異於咒詛他。
15 喋喋不休的婦人，
就像雨天房屋漏個不停；
16 想制止她猶如制止狂風，
又像用手抓油一樣困難。
17 朋友互相切磋，
如鐵磨鐵越磨越利。
18 看無花果樹的吃無花果，
照顧主人的也必得尊榮。
19 水能映照人的面貌，
心能反映人的本相。
20 陰間和死亡填不滿，
人的眼目永不滿足。
21 鼎煉銀，爐煉金，
讚美也考驗人。
22 就算把愚人放在臼裡與麥子一起搗碎，
他仍然難脫愚昧。
23 你要瞭解你的羊群，
小心照料你的牲畜。
24 因為錢財有用盡時，
冠冕不能萬代長存。
25 乾草割去，嫩草長出，
山間的野草都被收起來。
26 小羊的皮毛可做衣服，
賣山羊的錢可買田地，
27 母山羊的奶足夠你和家人喝，
也夠養活你的僕婢。
