Proverbios sobre la vida y la conducta
16 Del hombre son las disposiciones del corazón;
Mas de Jehová es la respuesta de la lengua.
2 Todos los caminos del hombre son limpios en su propia opinión;
Pero Jehová pesa los espíritus.
3 Encomienda a Jehová tus obras,
Y se realizarán tus proyectos.
4 Todas las cosas las ha hecho Jehová para su destino peculiar,
Y aun al impío para el día malo.
5 Abominación es a Jehová todo altivo de corazón;
Ciertamente no quedará impune.
6 Con misericordia y verdad se corrige el pecado,
Y con el temor de Jehová los hombres se apartan del mal.
7 Cuando los caminos del hombre son agradables a Jehová,
Aun a sus enemigos hace estar en paz con él.
8 Mejor es lo poco con justicia
Que la muchedumbre de frutos sin derecho.
9 El corazón del hombre planea su camino;
Mas Jehová endereza sus pasos.
10 Oráculo hay en los labios del rey;
En el juicio no errará su boca.
11 Peso y balanzas justas son de Jehová;
Obra suya son todas las pesas de la bolsa.
12 Abominación es a los reyes hacer impiedad,
Porque con justicia se afianza el trono.
13 Los labios sinceros son el contentamiento de los reyes,
Y éstos aman al que habla lo recto.
14 La ira del rey es mensajero de muerte;
Mas el hombre sabio la aplacará.
15 En la alegría del rostro del rey está la vida,
Y su benevolencia es como nube de lluvia tardía.
16 Mejor es adquirir sabiduría que oro preciado;
Y adquirir inteligencia vale más que la plata.
17 El camino de los rectos se aparta del mal;
El que guarda su camino, guarda su propia vida.
18 Delante del quebrantamiento va la soberbia,
Y delante de la caída, la altivez de espíritu.
19 Mejor es humillar el espíritu con los humildes.
Que repartir despojos con los soberbios.
20 El que mide sus palabras hallará el bien,
Y el que confía en Jehová es dichoso.
21 El sabio de corazón es tenido por prudente,
Y la dulzura de labios aumenta la persuasión.
22 Manantial de vida es el entendimiento al que lo posee;
Mas la erudición de los necios es necedad.
23 El corazón del sabio hace prudente a su boca,
Y añade persuasión a sus labios.
24 Panal de miel son los dichos suaves;
Suavidad al alma y medicina para los huesos.
25 Hay camino que parece derecho al hombre,
Pero su final es camino de muerte.
26 El apetito del que trabaja, trabaja para él,
Porque su boca le estimula.
27 El hombre perverso trama el mal,
Y en sus labios hay como llama de fuego.
28 El hombre perverso levanta contienda.
Y el chismoso aparta a los mejores amigos.
29 El hombre malo lisonjea a su prójimo,
Y le hace andar por camino que no es bueno.
30 El que guiña sus ojos piensa perversidades;
El que frunce sus labios, ya efectúa el mal.
31 Corona de honra son las canas,
Cuando el anciano anda por el camino de justicia.
32 Mejor es el que tarda en airarse que el fuerte;
Y el que se enseñorea de su espíritu, que el que toma una ciudad.
33 Las suertes se echan en el regazo;
Mas de Jehová es la decisión de ellas.

16 心中的策划在于人，
应对之言来自耶和华。
2 人看自己的行为都纯全，
但是耶和华却衡量人心。
3 把你的事交托耶和华，
你的计划必实现。
4 耶和华所造的万物各有其用，
连恶人也是为灾难之日所造。
5 耶和华厌恶心骄气傲者，
他们必逃不过祂的责罚。
6 慈爱和忠信可让罪恶得赎，
敬畏耶和华使人远离罪恶。
7 人所行的若蒙耶和华喜悦，
耶和华必使仇敌与他和好。
8 财物虽少但行事公义，
胜过家财万贯却不公义。
9 人心中筹划自己的道路，
但耶和华决定他的脚步。
10 王口中有上帝的话，
断案时必无差错。
11 公道的秤与天平属于耶和华，
袋中一切的砝码由祂制定。
12 君王憎恨恶行，
因王位靠公义而立。
13 王喜爱公义的言词，
器重说话正直的人。
14 王的烈怒如死亡使者，
然而智者能平息王怒。
15 王的笑容带给人生命，
他的恩惠像春雨之云。
16 得智慧胜过得黄金，
获悟性胜过获白银。
17 正直人的大道远离罪恶，
坚守正道的保全性命。
18 骄横是沦亡的前奏，
狂傲是败落的预兆。
19 宁可谦卑地与贫寒人相处，
也不跟狂傲人共享战利品。
20 听从训言的人受益匪浅，
信靠耶和华的人蒙祝福。
21 智者以明辨著称，
甜言能说服人心。
22 智慧是智者的生命泉，
愚昧为愚人带来惩罚。
23 智者三思而后言，
其言使人长见识。
24 良言如蜜，
使人心灵甘甜、身体康健。
25 有一条路看似正确，
最终却通向死亡。
26 工人的胃口促他工作，
口腹之需是他的动力。
27 不务正业的人图谋恶事，
他的口舌如烈焰般危险。
28 邪僻的人散播纷争，
造谣的人破坏友情。
29 残暴之徒引诱邻舍走入歧途。
30 恶人眯起眼睛图谋不轨，
歹徒咬着嘴唇策划恶事。
31 白发是荣耀的冠冕，
行为公义方能得到。
32 不轻易发怒者胜过勇士，
能自我控制胜过攻陷城池。
33 人可以摇签求问，
但耶和华决定一切。
Proverbs 16
King James Version
16 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord.
2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits.
3 Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.
4 The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.
7 When a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
8 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.
9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.
10 A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.
11 A just weight and balance are the Lord's: all the weights of the bag are his work.
12 It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.
13 Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right.
14 The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.
15 In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain.
16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!
17 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
19 Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
20 He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he.
21 The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.
22 Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.
23 The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.
24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
26 He that laboureth laboureth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him.
27 An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire.
28 A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
29 A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.
30 He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.
31 The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.
32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
33 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the Lord.
