¹²¶ Hay camino que al hombre parece derecho; pero su fin es camino de muerte.

¹³¶ Aun en la risa el burlador tendrá dolor en el corazón; y el término de aquella alegría es congoja.

¹⁴¶ De sus caminos será harto el desviado de corazón; y el hombre de bien será apartado de él.

¹²Hay caminos que parecen derechos,
pero al final de ellos está la muerte.

¹³Hasta de reírse duele el corazón,
y al final la alegría acaba en llanto.

¹⁴El necio está satisfecho de su conducta;
el hombre bueno lo está de sus acciones.

¹²There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

¹³Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.

¹⁴The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.

¹²^(A)There is a way that seems right to a man,
But ^(B)its end is the way of ^(C)death.

¹³Even in laughter the heart may sorrow,
And ^(D)the end of mirth may be grief.

¹⁴The backslider in heart will be ^(E)filled with his own ways,
But a good man will be satisfied ^[a]from ^(F)above.
