³ To receive the instruction of wisdom,
Justice, judgment, and equity;

⁷ He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
^(A)He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;

²¹ For the upright will dwell in the ^(A)land,
And the blameless will remain in it;

⁶ Listen, for I will speak of ^(A)excellent things,
And from the opening of my lips will come right things;

⁹ They are all plain to him who understands,
And right to those who find knowledge.

⁶ The righteousness of the upright will deliver them,
But the unfaithful will be caught by their lust.

^6 (A)The words of the wicked are, “Lie in wait for blood,”
^(B)But the mouth of the upright will deliver them.
