³⁰ But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’

^36 (A)And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left in your house will come and bow down to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and say, “Please, ^[a]put me in one of the priestly positions, that I may eat a piece of bread.” ’ ”

¹³ And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with ^[a]prodigal living. ¹⁴ But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. ¹⁵ Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

¹⁸ and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Woe to the women who sew magic charms ^[a]on their sleeves and make veils for the heads of people of every height to hunt souls! Will you ^(A)hunt the souls of My people, and keep yourselves alive?

⁸ Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Because you have spoken nonsense and envisioned lies, therefore I am indeed against you,” says the Lord God.
